Now combining it with one of my favorite TV Shows: Battlestar Galactica! I can't get enough of these.

Are you familar with all the songs included? Overall, it's been a pretty solid year in music. I'm pretty sure you can guess my favorite: Lady Gaga.

Holy Super Cut Together Clips, Batman!

I loved the Batman series staring Adam West. I'm too young to have caught it when it originally aired, but I enjoyed watching it on Nick at Nite/TVLand.

I hadn't heard of this movie at all before this trailer started blowing up all over twitter. They managed to take a very boring sound job and make it kind of badass. So props on that.

Sex and the City 2

I liked the TV show, kind of enjoyed the first movie, but I'm not sure about this one.

Also, sorry for all the trailer only updates, but I haven't been on the computer much in Orlando. Too busy living it up playing Pickle Ball, Bachi ball, and general holiday eating. Hope everyone else is enjoying their holiday breaks as much as I am!

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone has a great holiday today!

Kevin Smith's "Cop Out"

I'm surprised this doesn't say "Kevin Smith" anywhere, since he's a pretty recognizable name now. But, according to twitter, his movies never say that? Oh well. It definitely doesn't look like his normal type of humor so maybe it's better off without his name connected. The old title of "A Couple of Dicks" was funnier and stuck in my mind more. It's too bad Warner Bros. wouldn't let them use it. I'm holding out hope this movie is better than the trailer. I guess we'll see in February.

Happy Holidays!

I probably won't be updating much for the next week because of the holidays and travel. So enjoy this clip and have a great holiday!

Linkulous

I'm flying out to Orlando today - to spend my birthday at DisneyWorld and Christmas with The Taylors (my boyfriend's family). So I probably won't be posting as much until I return at the end of December. I hope this super-sized list of links can keep you entertained in the mean time!

'Big Bang Theory' is an evolved portrayal of scientists (and fanboy funny!) - I'm loving this show and this explains why pretty well.

TVs Best of the Decade: No. 19
- While this show aired most of its best episodes in the '90s, it still had shining moments in the Aughties. I didn't expect it to see it make many lists, so I'm glad Hitfix gave it a mention.

TVs Best of the Decade: No. 18 - This show is among a handful that inspired me to work in Entertainment PR/Marketing. Because if shows this good can get canned, the fault doesn't lie in the product but in how it was marketed and presented to the public. The list of shows in the 2nd paragraph all fall into the same boat: brilliant but canceled too soon. And I own most of them on DVD, available to loan out as needed since they are just that good and more people should watch them.

6 TV Shows That Completely Lost Their Shit - A pretty funny list full of things I didn't know. Family Matters really did go off into its own world with that Steve/Stefan thing. But the ending of Roseanne showed that the last season of all the wacky lottery, lesbian, prince, etc was a dream. At the end of the season before, Dan suffered a heart attack but survived. Well, the ending said that he didn't and everything after that was a coping mechanism. Still fucked up, but not as much as this article suggests. Now, that Bob Newhart show that ended with a dream going back to his old Newhart series was an ending that completely negated the entire existence of that show.

Hot Tub Time Machine

Before seeing the trailer, I thought this had to be the stupidest storyline. A Hot Tub Time Machine? Of all the time traveling devices...

Well, after seeing the trailer, I think it looks pretty hilarious. That's largely thanks to the cast of John Cusack, Craig Robinson, and Rob Cordry. Plus, there are just so many 1980s jokes out there, I'm sure they'll keep us laughing.

What do you guys think? Hilarious or just stupid?

So You Think You Can Dance: And The Winner Is...

What a jam packed show! Star studded performances (honestly, I fast forwarded through them), a recap of some of the best dances of the season, and the announcing of the winner.

First, let's talk about the routines they picked as their favorites. I'm glad to see the inclusion of Kathryn & Jakob's Desmond and Dwight's Contemporary routine from last night. Another routine from last night that made the cut - Kathryn & Russell's hard hitting hip hop, had to be shown via tape due to the spontaneity of live TV. I guess Russell was rehearsing back stage and messed up his knee. You could tell he was having trouble walking, so his routines were just shown on tape. I'm glad the Noelle & Russell Frog Prince Afro-Jazz routine was included. That was the only routine of theirs that I truly enjoyed.

There were a few numbers from the showcase that I had forgotten about since they were so long ago. I loved the Legacy, Kevin, and Russell hip hop routine to Beggin'. It highlighted each of their styles and skills so well. The Tyce Diorio contemporary routine with Channing, Ariana, Nathan, and Jakob was beautiful too. I had pretty much forgotten Ariana was in this competition. The Top 20 routine by Wade was great, as usual. I hope Wade choreographs more in the future seasons. It really is sad that Billy was injured early on though, since he really stood out in that number. The tappers had their moment to shine again as well, doing their "Take The A Train" number.

My favorite of the routines performed tonight has to be the Sonya contemporary routine with Jakob and Ellenore. I was also really impressed with Ashleigh and Ryan's self-choreographed Jive. Could they be the next Anya and Pasha? I would love to see them come back to choreograph sexy latin ballroom numbers.

I was sad to see that Ryan & Ellenore's Travis Wall routine to "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead" wasn't included, but I guess they could only include one of his routines and they went with the sexy and dangerous table Mr/Mrs Smith number with Ellenore and Legacy. Also performed that I haven't mentioned yet, Mollee and Nathan's Bollywood, which was great and fun.

There were many performances tonight, but the only one I really watched was The Groovaloos. Check out their routine here (if it's still available):

Now, let's get on to the results! Did you guys see my predictions yesterday after the show? I was THIS CLOSE to correctly guessing the order. The only thing off was I had the first and second dancers switched. Congratulations go out to...

RUSSELL!!!!

I was rooting for Jakob, but Russell's journey and growth this season has been amazing. The fact that he hasn't had any real training is just such an inspiration to street dancers out there. I'll be sure to check out him and Jakob (runner-up) in whatever Oscar's musical number Adam Shankman gets them in.

So You Think You Can Dance: Top 6

How can they have a finale that's only one hour? AND with 6 people? There's definitely not enough dancing this season. Looks like they're cutting down on the run time by eliminating the pre-dance videos and the solos. Sad to see the solos fall to the wayside, since we're supposed to be voting for the person and not the partnerships. I'm glad it'll be returning for a summer run in 2010. Now, on to what little dancing we did see.

Kathryn & Ryan
Jason Gilkinson Samba
Magalenah by Sergio
It was a bit of Afro-Samba! That last lift over the back and drop was impressive. As Adam mentioned, the assisted turn in the beginning was beautiful.

Ellenore & Jakob
Tyce Diorio Broadway
I Gotcha from Fosse
The slow slide into the splits by Jakob was great. There were a lot of jumps and splits; they were all just beautiful and such great lines. Ellenore is such a hottie and this dance allowed her to be sexy, which I don't think many of her routines have before.

Ashleigh & Russell
Sonya contemporary
Angel Standy By by Jewel
It was a very traditional contempory, especially for Sonya. It was just the little ticks and staccato movements that gave it that Sonya twinge. Russell was amazing - his jumps and strength really shone.

Ellenore & Ryan
Gary Stewert Jazz
Kontact Me by Boyz Noise
That was definitely one of the stranger dances from this season - very robotic. I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I thought it was overall very well done.

Ashleigh & Jakob
Jean Marc Foxtrot
Let the good times roll by Chuck Brown
Very graceful, very beautiful. However, foxtrots are always a bit boring compared to the other ballroom numbers and modern styles.

Ellenore & Russell
Jason Gilkinson Paso Doble
Village Attack from Blood Diamond Soundtrack
Wow, Ellenore's so good. I loved the theatrics - the use of the screen, the slow entrance of Ellenore, and the sudden entrance of Russell.

Kathryn & Jakob
Desmond Richardson Contemporary
At This Moment by Michael Buble
They really were in the emotion and character of that routine. Completely deserving of their standing ovation. Their dancing was beautiful, the chemistry was tangible. I'm going to agree with Mary on this, it was magical.

Ashleigh & Ryan
Travis Wall Contemporary
I'm There Too Michelle Featherstone
Finally the married couple gets to dance together! This is leaps and bounds better than their first audition together. Aw, just beautiful and adorable. Looking back at their first audition, it's just amazing how much they've grown in both technique and performance. They had no where near as much chemistry back then. Like Adam said, there was just such tenderness evident throughout the whole performance.

Kathryn & Russell
Nappy Tabs Hip Hop
I Can Transform Ya by Chris Brown & Lil Wayne
A very hard hitting, krump/hip hop number. Russell excelled, as to be expected, and Kathryn got really in to it. I loved the ending where Kathryn stole his heart.

Highlights: The Kathryn/Jakob routine was just exquisitely beautiful. The Ellenore/Russell Paso Doble was very dramatic and theatrical. The show had great numbers across the board! The shortened run kept it from dragging, but it also made the whole episode feel as if it was on speed. I didn't have enough time to fully digest the routines before the next one was starting. I don't understand why Fox decided to have the Gordon Ramsey special tonight - why not Wednesday night after the finale? Just odd.
Predictions: I honestly don't know who I want to win, let alone who I think America is going to choose. As evidenced by my predictions last week, that means I'll probably be way off. But here goes nothing:
6. Ryan
5. Ashleigh
4. Ellenore
3. Kathryn
2. Russell
1. Jakob

I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow night.

Genius

Vampire Diaries Marathon: All Week!

Vampire Diaries has been my surprise favorite new show of the season. While Glee and Modern Family are consistently good, I expected them to be great. I did not, however, have much expectations for The Vampire Diaries. Much like everyone else, I thought it was just a cheaply made, thrown together show trying to capitalize on the popularity of the Twilight series. I am not ashamed to admit it, I LOVE this show now.

Written by Kevin Williamson, famous for writing Dawson's Creek and the Scream series. It was because he was writing it that I gave it a shot at all. Again, so glad I did! This show uses the same usual tropes of Vampire Lore, but is still able to keep me surprised. Ian Somerhalder does a great job of playing the evil brother, I believe in his and Stefan's rivalry that is so central to the show. I know this is hard to understand for those who don't watch sci fi/fantasy shows, but the storylines and characters are believable. I understand why the characters behave and react they do, which is more than I can say for some sci fi/fantasy shows. Also, what surprised me most - they aren't afraid to kill off major characters.

I didn't mention Vampire Diaries in my Fall TV Wrap Up (btw, have you check it out yet?) specifically because I think it deserves more than a few sentences. If you haven't given this show a chance, I recommend you watch the marathon this week on The CW. They're rerunning every episode this week, starting tonight 8-10pm.

Not sure what I'm talking about? The CW released this promo for the marathon:

Watch an episode or two and let me know what you think!

Also, check out Vampire Diaries stars answer questions about the show over on Zap2it.com.

SNL: Taylor Lautner

SNL pandered to the tweens this weekend by having Taylor Lautner, that hot baby, host. The show wasn't great, but there were some hilarious moments. I mainly blame the writing, not Taylor's ability.

I love the line about the Oscars! This wasn't the Edward/Jacob skit I was expecting, but it was pretty funny.

I thought this was funny at first, but it just went on for too long. Much like the PGA Tour announcements. Funny at first, but they killed it by not knowing when to stop.

What did you guys think of his hosting gig? Did I leave out your favorite moment? The biggest let down for me? The fact that he kept his shirt on for the full episode.

Also, you should check out the rest of his picks. He's posting one a day, so they're not all up yet. But I agree with most of his picks so far, and he may have finally converted me to appreciating It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, a show I just really can't get behind.

So You Think You Can Dance: Top 8

Ryan & Kathryn
Disco by Doriana Sanchez
(Samantha Ronson Remix) Last Dance by Donna Summer
It was fun! Ryan can really move. I would think he'd be slowed down by his muscles and size, but he can get through those fast full movements with ease. Disco is like ballroom on speed, depending on the style, so it really suited him. I think I even noticed a samba role in there.

Cha Cha by Jason Gilkison
Put Your Hands On Me by Joss Stone
That was great! The part where she backed under his leg was ridiculous. I loved when she grabbed onto his leg and got dragged a bit. I also loved the ending when Kathryn was lifted and the last image is her completely upside. Kathryn looked so incredibly sexy, which I didn't think she could have pulled off at the beginning of the season. The Hot Tamale Train finally makes an appearance!! Karen made it on to the train in the first week and since then no one else was invited. Ryan and Kathryn totally deserve those first class seats!

Mollee & Jakob
Viennese Waltz by Jason Gilkenson
Ordinary Day by Vanessa Carlton
Love the use of the background and their costumes to tell a story. That was such a cute dance! I loved how happy and romantic it was. It was just beautiful.

Broadway by Joey Dowling
Easy Street by Annie (Samantha Ronson Remix)
I liked the costume change midway through the dance. The mix was really weird. It put in modern skipping and techno sounds to this old song, but didn't change much more. I don't like this new addition to the show. One of the things I love about the music on the show is that I can just download a song from a dance routine and about 95% of the time, it will sound exactly like it did on the show.

Legacy & Ellenore
Contemporary by Travis Wall
Machine Gun by Portis Head
It's like Mr. and Mrs. Smith! Wow, great lifts. The timing on the table had to be absolutely perfect and it was! Wow, amazing. You can't even tell Ellenore's dancing with a torn rotator cuff. Travis's response to the Emmy comments was priceless! I would love for Travis to be nominated for an Emmy - he's had many memorable numbers between

NappyTabs Hip Hop
People are Strange (Districk 78 Remix)
I loved the pre-dance video. Cool use of the masks, it really added to the weirdness. The rolls and jumps over one another were great. The weirdness just got kicked up a notch with all the weird alien language speech.

Jakob Solo
When You Say My Name by Mario Spinetti
He's just such a good dancer. His technique and skill blow me away.

Russell & Ashleigh (stand in)
Shane Sparks Hip Hop
Too Much Booty 2 By Soundmaster Remix
I wonder about Russell's partnering skills since Noelle and Ashleigh have both been injured while with him. That was a hard hitting routine. I'm sad we didn't get to see Ashleigh do Hip Hop, since she has proven herself in this genre so well before.

Bollywood by Nikul
Spirit of Rangeela from the Rangeela Soundtrack
There were some moments where Russell's face was just TOO happy, or whatever expression that was supposed to be. Maybe some of Ashleigh rubbing off on him? Great routine, overall.

Mollee
Heartburn by Alica Keys

Legacy
Fancy Footwork by Chromeo
At first, I wasn't too impressed. But once he did all those moves with the phone in his hand, just to prove that he could do all that with one hand, I was hooked. I'd be really happy if he makes it into the finale, but I honestly have no idea what guy is going home tomorrow.

Ellenore
I Got the Feelin' by James Brown
She really is always having fun. Her personality and exuberence

Russell
Holiday Buckness by The J Squad
I don't think his shoe was supposed to come off, but he went with and incorporated it into the dance.

Kathryn
ShadowFeet by Brooke Fraser

Ryan
Din Da Da
Kevin Aviance
Aw, I can't believe he just gave Ashleigh's number instead of his own. I don't think it will get her enough votes, but I know it just endeared him more to me and probably the rest of America.

Highlights: Jakob/Mollee's Viennese Waltz, Kathryn/Ryan's Cha Cha. I never thought that only ballroom numbers would be my highlights, since I'm a bigger fan of Hip Hop and Jazz. But, these two numbers will stand out against the season for me.

Predictions: I honestly have no idea who will be in the finale, since I would be happy with all of them making it to the end. If I had to wager a guess, I'd say Ashleigh and Russell would be going home. Just because of the severe disadvantage of losing your partner and of not being able to dance. Ryan's plea probably got her some votes, but I'm betting they got him more.

Chuck on CNN

Zachery Levi was on CNN promoting his appearance in Alvin and The Chipmonks: The Squeakquel. I love Chuck so much, I'll over look that particular career move.

Lady Gaga's "Christmas Tree"

Amazon is giving away a song a day in honor of the holidays. So far, they've all been Christmas themed so I haven't been taking advantage of the giveaways. I think having a birthday so near Christmas makes you a little bit of a scrooge, at least that's my excuse. Well, if you're in more of a holiday spirit, you can get all the downloads over at Amazon.com.

The one song I did download? Of course, Lady Gaga's track "Christmas Tree"! And honestly, it's terrible. If it weren't a Christmas song, I'd actually really enjoy it, but it manages to corrupt every Christmas saying on the books. If you're interested in checking it out, you can download it for free until Christmas by clicking HERE.

So bad, it's hilarious.

Glee: Top 5 Numbers

Glee is heading to sectionals tomorrow and then leaving us for FOUR MONTHS. I don't know how I'm going to handle that long of an hiatus! To help me get through this, I've been watching some of the best musical numbers from the season, all up on Hulu's Glee: A Dozen Musical Numbers page. Don't have time for all 12 before they expire? Well, here are my Top 5 numbers leading up to sectionals:

1. "It's My Life/Confessions"

I loved both the mashups in "Vitamin D", but the guys totally won this one. The best songs are the show are when the glee kids take a song and rearrange it. Otherwise, it's too similar to the original and just will never stand out in my mind. Give songs the "Glee" treatment and I'm there! Just sing a song exactly the same old way and I get bored fast.

2. "Lean on Me"

I'm a sucker for the sappy songs too. I almost put "Keep Holding On" here too, but then that would have been two Glee-cheers-up-Quinn-and-Finn moments and this list needed diversity. For

3. "Don't Stop Believing"

This was the routine that made Will believe New Directions could win Regionals and it was the routine that won over the viewers too. This number was strong enough to keep us on bated breath for the show's return 5 months after they aired the pilot in May. Let's hope they leave us with just as great a number tomorrow in the Fall Finale. I still can't believe we have to wait until APRIL.

4. "Hate on Me"

Mercedes can siiiiing. This was the first time she got her own song and it was great. She's usually just the diva-tastic cherry on top to the glee numbers, so this was a nice change of pace.

5. "Dancing With Myself"

Another great moment where a secondary character got to shine. I think Artie has the best voice out of the guys, so it was great that he finally got his solo. I also love when the songs are used to serve a storytelling purpose, instead of just shoe-horned in to have a musical number. This song was a great window into his loneliness as the handicapped friend, and transitioned Artie from an afterthought to a full character.

Update: Volume 2 comes out today. Check out the track listing!

2009 Fall TV Wrap Up

Before the season began, I wrote about which Fall shows I'd be checking out. Well, the Fall TV Season is wrapping up so it's time to check the pulse.

Monday

Monday's have proven to be pretty successful for CBS. How I Met Your Mother is doing well in the ratings and having a pretty good season so far. There have been a few lackluster episodes (like when Barney/Robin break up), but overall it's had some really hilarious moments. I'm interested to see where they go with Robin and the new guy Dan - if he'll be just a one-off character or will become Robin's "frozen waffles" like Marshall predicted. I also started watching The Big Bang Theory this season, since I finally caught up with the last 2 seasons. That show is consistently funny and I'm a sucker for the nerd humor. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that it's by the same guy who created Two and a Half Men. They're just such different shows and appeal to such different demographics.

Tuesday

So You Think You Can Dance has been having a great season! It suffered a bit in the beginning because of the restrictions that baseball put on it, but once that was over it was a return to form and has had some of the best dancing in the show's history. I don't think I want it to have another fall season though. It gets interrupted too much and there really is just too much competition to get it the audience numbers it does in summer.

V only aired four episodes, but from what was there I was really intrigued. It isn't set to return until March though, which could hurt its ratings. It didn't air long enough to gain a dedicated fanbase, so it'll be interesting to see how the ratings are upon its return.

Wednesday

So You Think You Can Dance results shows always pale in comparision to the competition show, which is to be expected in reality TV. But, I still wish the dancers would do original solos on Wednesday nights instead of just redo-ing their solos from the night before. Some of the solos on Wednesdays were the highlights of Season 4.

America's Next Top Model wrapped up its "Shorty" season a couple weeks ago and overall it was pretty lackluster. Nicole won, who was a frontrunner and photo favorite since the beginning. The show has been on long enough that contestants know what to say and what not to say, so it's getting a bit boring. There definitely hasn't been as much drama and catfighting as there used to be.

Glee is wrapping up its fall season this week and I have absolutely loved this show. It has lived up to the potential of the pilot, for me. Great songs, some great lines, and Sue Sylvester. I'm going to countdown my favorite moments sometime soon, so keep an eye out for that.

Modern Family consistently makes me question my declaration that Glee is my favorite show this season. It's always so funny and smart! It has the humor and jokes, but a storyline and heart at its core that push it above other sitcoms like 30 Rock and It's Always Sunny.

Cougar Town was a nice surprise this season as well. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do. Courtney Cox is doing a great job of being funny in her 'cougardom' and not pathetic or annoying. Busy Phillips is my favorite though, she's been so spot on as that busty bimbo with good intentions.

Eastwick has been cancelled, but I actually liked this show. It didn't take itself too seriously, like other witchy shows have before (aka Charmed's later seasons). It moved at a slow slow pace for somethings, but still kept the show interesting. For example, the girls JUST admitted to being witches last week, even though they've been doing their magic thing on their own for the duration of the show.

Thursday

FlashForward has probably been the biggest disappointment for me. It's pilot was really engrossing, but since then things have moved so slowly. I liked the episode about Bryce and his mystery lady in Japan the best, but it seemed wasted because she won't be on the show much in the future. They should have used that storytelling structure more often with the characters we are supposed to care about. With all the behind-the-scenes problems on this show, hopefully it will improve after its hiatus in March. They can use this production halt to reasses the show's direction and how it'll work under the new showrunner.

The Office hasn't lived up to its past seasons this year. The Wedding was the highlight by far. I think it suffers from being too topical. All the storylines about money, the economy, and Dunder-Miflin's bankruptcy are too serious to produce laughs. Yes, there are some funny moments but overall it's just too uncomfortable. Just look at last week's episode about "Scott's Tots" for proof. In down times like these, sometimes we want TV to serve as escapism and The Office is just hitting too close to home.

Friday

Dollhouse has been cancelled, but its just getting to the level that we expect of Joss shows now. Last night's episodes were the best so far that have aired, and the buzz about the upcoming episodes is growing. This is the Dollhouse that Joss wanted from the beginning but couldn't get Fox on board with.

Overall, this has been the best fall season in years. The mid-season shows also look to be really strong (Chuck! Lost! Human Target, etc), so there's a lot still to look forward to.

So You Think You Can Dance: Top 10 Results Show

So I don't have much to say about the results show, I mainly just wanted to post the video of the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers:

AMAZING.

I wasn't really surprised by the eliminations. Nathan and Ryan were going to go home before the Top 6 finale, it was just the order that wasn't decided. I was surprised that Kathryn was in the bottom over Ashleigh. I feel like the partnership with Nathan weakened her voting appeal. Between Ashleigh and Kathryn, I think it will really depend on the luck of the draw with their partnerships and dances that will decide their fate.

In other SYTYCD news, I'm going to start crafting my Season 6 playlist. My Season 5 playlist has been a huge hit on my blog, and I still love listening to it. If you guys have any suggestions for the playlist, let me know in the comments! I'll be posting it soon after the Season 6 finale.

Monkeys on Ice

On days like today, I'm glad stuff like this exists. It put a smile on my face and for 2 minutes, made me forget about what a crappy week this has been. Thank you, youtube!

LOST

The powers that be on LOST have said there will be no new footage used in promos for the final season. Well, if they keep coming out with promos like this, I don't think we'll mind.

I think the Spanish makes it even cooler.

I'm so excited for Chuck's return! Check out this great promo for the show and don't forget to tune in tonight to watch Zachary Levi (CHUCK!) co-host the Lighting of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center.

So You Think You Can Dance: Top 10

It's so weird that there's no intro video! The videos before the solos were great though. There were so many heart warming moments between the dancers and their parents. The partners are getting changed up and everyone's dancing a solo. Let's see how everyone fared!

Ryan & Noelle
NappyTabs' Hip Hop
I think this pairing helped bring Noelle out more. It was danced well and had an interesting story. I loved when Noelle's leg was up and Ryan ran his face along it.

JT & Thomas' Smooth Waltz
Jeux Deux from O (Cirque du Soleil)
Very elegant and beautiful.

Ashleigh & Legacy
Gary Stewert Contempoary
Poison by The Prodigy
This did not feel like a contemporary routine. It was really rough and fast. There were A LOT of floor rolls. I was really impressed with Legacy being able to pull that off, and his headstand at the end. But overall, I didn't really like the routine. And that isn't the fault of the dancers at all, it was all the choreography. Actually, it's probably more so just trying to pull that off as "contemporary".

Dave Scott Hip Hop
Slow Down by Bobby Valentino
Vampire routine! Haha, I loved the change to fire in the background screen and the red lighting. Ashleigh does hip hop really well, especially for a ballroom dancer. The first negative comments of the show come for this dance?! Really?! I liked this routine better than many of the other routines that the judges gushed over.

Mollee's Solo
Rock the Beat by LMAO

Russell's Solo
Outros by Black Milk
I love that a krumper is in the Top 10. It makes for much more interesting solos and brings variety to break up all the contemporary/jazz.

Kathryn & Nathan
Broadway
Choereography by Danny Kaye (from Singin' in the Rain)
That was boring. Danced well, but it just lacked that extra something that would make me care about this routine. In an episode with 10 couple routines and 10 solos, this will be forgotten.

Tony & Melanie Rumba
Walk On By
Aretha Franklin
Kathryn's pulling off sexy in this routine like she never has before! Nathan just looked like a 12 year old boy trying to pull of sexy. He looked awkard when he had to grab her butt and slide his hand up her leg.

Noelle's Solo
Every Time it Rains by Charlotte Martin
She doesn't work for me in partner dances, but she dances one of the best solos among the girls.

Jakob & Ellenore
Quickstep by Tony & Melanie
4 Brothers by Manhattan Transfer
Wow, lazy story about it being a Quickstep Dance Competition and a trophy in the back. Real original. Loved the bit of tap thrown in, too bad none of the tappers made it this far in the competition. Great job, but it's still the "dance of death." Let's hope their Dance #2 is more attention grabbing.

Sonya Contemporary
Tore my Heart by Oona & Dave Tweedie
I LOVED that one. That one might just be my favorite Sonya routine since "The Garden." She got the perfect dancers for her choreography in Jakob & Ellenore. They're both quirky and fit the feel of her dance style better than any of the other contestants.

Ryan's Solo
Rock You Like a Hurrican by Scorpion
Overall an improvement over last week's solo, but I think he should have shown off his fancy footwork more.

Kathryn's Solo
Beautiful by Bethany Dillon

Russell & Mollee
Mandy Moore Jazz
It Must Have Been Love by Roxette
Mollee no longer looks like a baby when she dances! Having an older partner really helped her mature and just look older in general. The move that Nigel highlighted - the arms linking and then the backward spin, was definitely the highlight of that routine.

Anya & Pasha's Jive
Land of 1000 Dances by Jimmy Barnes
That was a very fun dance. It was a good follow up to Sonya's dance because it was so different. They're a great pairing, it's too bad it's only for this one week.

Nathan's Solo
Golden Train by Justin
I feel like he didn't do very much in his solo. He's so talented and really needed to show more of that. But his pre-dance video just made me like him even more - the tearing up when talking about family! I am mush.

Ellenore's Solo
Beatbox Harmonica by Yuri Lane
Really interesting song choice. She's so quirky and unique, I love it.

Legacy's Solo
No Air by Jordan Sparks & Chris Brown
He incorporated a lot more dancing in this solo than I've ever seen him before. I thought it was an interesting song choice for a b-boy but he totally made it work. I loved when he was motioning about how he couldn't breathe and then he fell back into a sweet head spin.

Ashleigh's Solo
Batucada Por Favor by Bob Avvar

Jakob's Solo
Always Midnight (Acoustic) by Pat Monahan
His lines and extension are just ridiculous.

Highlights: Ellenore & Jakob, especially their Sonya routine, Legacy's solo, and Ellenore's solo. I also really liked Ashleigh & Legacy's hip hop routine. I totally disagree with the judges on this one.
Predictions: I think Noelle and Ryan will be the ones going home. Maybe Nathan, but his tween fans might save him.

We're in the top 10 and we've seen them all dance their solos and how they fared with new partners. Here are my guesses for who will be in the Final Four.
Jakob, Russell, Ellenore, and Mollee. I'm pretty confident in those first 3, but the 4th is up for grabs depending on the luck of the draw in the coming weeks. I could see Ashleigh or Kathryn coming up in the ranks if they get good dances and partners.

Iron Man 2: Poster Revealed

Check out this sweet poster with War Machine! I'm excited for the film. And you know, if RDJ wants to only do Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes roles from now on, I think I'd be ok with that.

So You Think You Can Dance: Top 12

Tonight marks the last time the couples are staying together. Some of them I'm sad to see part, but for the majority I feel like this will really separate the men from the boys, so to say. Well, lets get down to the dancing.

Ryan & Elenore
Dance 1:
Lindy Hop by Carla Heiney
I've got to be a rug cutter
That was such a fun routine and they were so cute! I loved the slide Ryan did to the front on his heels. The cartwheels and lifts and flips were great. I had no idea Ryan was playing with a recently injured back, he really played up the fun and hid the pain well.

Dance 2:
Broadway by Spencer
Razzle Dazzle from Chicago (original Broadway soundtrack)
Ellenore was really strong in this routine. The vertical split with the foot flexing, the move Adam pointed out, was really impressive. I also loved her very jerky movements while Ryan held her up on his shoulders.

Kathryn & Legacy
Dance 1:
Jazz by Sonya
So Deep by Hot Chip
That was hot! It is funny how very b-boy a lot of Legacy's moves were in a Jazz routine. It will be very interesting to see them with different partner, since they have developed a really good partnership and chemistry. I could see Kathryn really exploding and coming into her own with a new partnership, a la Jeanine last season.

Dance 2:
Viennese Waltz by Jean-Marc Genereaux
Your Guardian Angel
The Red Jumpsuit Appartus
That was my favorite waltz since Twitchington's in Season 4. Wow, absolutely loved that. When they showed Legacy's teary eyes and his little speech about hope, well I was sold. Voting for them like 10 times tonight.

Karen & Victor
Dance 1:
Tango by Tony and Melanie
Montserrat by Orquesta
I didn't see the secret lovers plot they talked about in pre-dance video. It was nice to see Victor finally do something other than Contemporary/Jazz, but I wasn't as impressed as the judges were. If they had been together longer, this could have been an amazing routine. But as it was, I didn't see the chemistry that was needed. I'm thinking this will be in the bottom three couples.

Dance 2:
Hip Hop by Lorieanne Gibson
Moving Moutains by Usher
That was kind of boring. Slow, lacking focus, and lacking attitude. This was more of an issue of choreography, though. I totally agree with Mary, there was nothing that stood out and that will be remembered when looking back at the dances tonight.

Nathan & Mollee
Dance 1:
Hip Hop by Jamal Sims
Ring-A-Ling by Black Eyed Peas
That was really good! Looks like the Top 12 are killing it this week. Nathan was REALLY good at hip hop. He just hit those beats so well. It was interesting to see hip hop done in 1800s clothes, too. I loved the move where Nathan did spins on his toe while Mollee did those cartwheels/back handsprings behind him. I agree with the judges that they'll really benefit from a partner switch up. They're just such babies together. Very disappointed in that routine, I expect more given Lorieanne's track record.

Dance 2:
Can Can by Tyce Diorio
Can Can Suite by Offenback
Wow, Nathan's pirourettes are great. Mollee's ariel was really impressive too. That was fun and fast and they did a great job.

Russel & Noelle
Dance 1:
Samba by Tony and Melanie
Hips Don't Lie by Shakira
Meh, I didn't really care for that. It was nice, but not very memorable for me.

Dance 2:
Contemporary by Tyce Diorio
A Case of You by Diana Krall
I'm glad Russell finally got to do contemporary before the Top 10. It was beautiful and just flowed. I'm glad they got to end on this dance, it'll definitely garner them more votes than their Samba will.

Ashleigh & Jakob
Dance 1:
Lyrical Jazz by Sonya
Time Flies by Lykke Li
That looked so technically hard - with the lifts and jumps and splits. Wow, Adam was nearly brought to tears from that. Jakob just has such incredible lines and flexibility, it is UNREAL. Sonya had a great night tonight between this routine and Kathryn & Legacy's routine.

Dance 2:
ChaCha by Jean-Marc Genereaux
ChaCha Hells by Rosabel
I think Ashleigh might have finally won me over. She was phenominal! They killed it. They had a great night over all - helped by the fact they they both got to dance their styles tonight.

Standouts: Loved the Nathan/Mollee hip hop, Kathryn/Legacy Waltz and Jazz, and the Ashleigh/Jakob ChaCha.
Bottom 3 Predictions: Karen/Victor, Ryan/Ellenore, and Russell/Noelle. I'm thinking Victor and Karen are going home, just shy of the Top 10. I could see Ryan going in Victor's place depending on solos, though.

Overall, I think this was a pretty strong episode with a few memorable dances that just might end up being performed again in the finale. What did you think of the Top 12 dances?
