This just may be the cutest thing ever.

Emmy Voters Love Glee

Glee, the freshman show that took the pop culture world by storm, has the Academy wrapped around its finger. While the first 13 episodes were solid and are completely worthy of the recognition, the majority of the back 9 fell so hard and so fast that I don't think it deserves NINETEEN nominations.

While nominated for lesser known categories like Art Direction, Hairstyling, Costumes, Make Up, and Casting, it got the big ticket nods as well.

Matthew Morrison was nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, against Alec Baldwin, Larry David, Tony Shalhoub, Jim Parsons and Steve Carell. Last year was supposed to be Jim Parson's year for The Big Bang Theory, but it went to Alec Baldwin again. I just don't think Matthew stands a chance against such comedy staples. They've had this category on lock and will continue to dominate, at least until Alec Baldwin retires in 2012.

Another major recognition is Lea Michele for Best Lead Actress. Lea's competition is nearly all previous winners - Julia Louise Dreyfus, Toni Colette, and Tina Fey. There's also another comedy favorite in the mix - Amy Poehler. They're all at an advantage since their shows are full comedies, unlike Glee which is a musical dramedy. Lea is the long shot. I think the statue will go to either newcomer Amy Poehler who is the focal point of Parks & Recreation, or make Toni Colette a repeat winner.

While I doubt Glee's chances in the major categories, they do have a good shot at winning Best Guest Actor and Best Guest Actress with television favorites like Niel Patrick Harris and Kristen Chenoweth.

So You Think You Can Dance: Collide

My favorite routine last night was the high school couple, danced by Kent and Lauren, set to Collide. It was a beautiful acoustic rendition that brought the right tone to the dance. They had such strong chemistry that the majority of new hits to my blog today come from the google search "Are Kent and Lauren from SYTYCD dating?" They were so believable that people sensed a real romantic connection between them. Watch the routine below:
