Holiday Weekend TV Marathons Abound: Watch Firefly, Arrested Development and more!

One of the best things about holiday weekends is all the options when it comes to TV Marathons. It's summer, it's hot, and sometimes all you want to do is vege out on the couch with a nice cold beverage and the A/C blasting. Check out my favorite marathons happening this weekend after the break!

Firefly, Science Channel, Sunday 8 a.m. – Tuesday 2 a.m.

Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Summer Glau - do I need to continue? If you haven't seen it by now, seriously, crawl out of that hole in the ground and get to it!

The Twilight Zone, Syfy, Sunday 9 a.m. – Monday 5 a.m., Continues Monday 8 a.m. to Tuesday 4 a.m.

This sci-fi classic holds up extremely well and influenced so many shows and films after. Consider watching it your entertainment history homework.

I Love Lucy, Hallmark Channel, Sunday 11 a.m. – Monday 1 a.m.

I grew up watching this classic tv comedy on daytime TV and feel I turned out all the better for it.

50 Star Stand-up Weekend, Comedy Central, Sunday 8 a.m. – Monday 5 a.m.

Hosted by HORRIBLE BOSSES' Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis, you can bet that this will be non-stop laughs between the stand up comics and even the bumpers leading to commercial breaks.

Arrested Development, IFC, Sunday 11:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.

It's always a good idea to watch and re-watch this short-lived comedy.

The Golden Girls, Hallmark Channel, Monday 3 p.m. – Tuesday, 2 a.m.

If you don't remember Betty White before her recent resurgence, you should really check this marathon out.

For more marathon listings, check out the original article on THR.

Also, for those netflix subscribers out there, Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation are availabe on instant watch. Make your own marathon this weekend!
