More Chuck!

What do we want?
More Chuck!
When do we want it?
Sooner than March, but not Now!

Today, NBC ordered 6 more episodes of Chuck! That brings it's total episode count for Season 3 from 13 to 19. Hopefully this means it will come back sooner than March. I don't know if coming back early will help its ratings, but I am just such a big fan of the show and want to see new episodes!

There was talk earlier of Chuck coming back as soon as mid-October. Now that time has come and past, and I'm glad that it didn't return early. If we want Chuck to come back to improved ratings, it's got to have enough time to do a hard marketing push and get people - 0ld and new fans - to spread the word about when to tune in.

Also, moving it to another night with a different tv show pairing would help. It wasn't working with Heroes. The shows have very different feels and draw in different audiences. Although, the NBC schedule is so limited that I don't know what else it could be paired with. Ideally, I would want it to air on Tuesdays, since it's a pretty empty TV night for me - just So You Think You Can Dance. I think NBC should cut The Biggest Loser down to just one hour and have Chuck at 9pm on Tuesdays. 2 hours of The Biggest Loser is just...a lot.

What do you guys think?

  1. I'm so psyched for this! The extra 6 episodes is a great vote of confidence--can't wait to see where they take the story (with hopefully much more Captain Awesome in spy adventures!). And I'm with you completely--the Monday time slot is way too competitive--it's destined to be a big hit once more people discover it (and on a night when it doesn't have to compete with "Dancing with the Stars", the CBS comedies, and "House"). Tuesday or Wednesday could be the perfect night for it to finally stand out. :)

  2. It's sounding like the earliest will be January, but it will more than likely go back to Mondays now that 'Trauma' is on its way out.

I'd like it to be on Wednesdays at 8 PM mostly because a Tuesday night slot would mean it would face off against 'NCIS' or 'NCIS: Los Angeles'. The former would be just as tough, if not tougher, than taking on 'House'. Also, the only other show I watch on Wednesdays is 'Glee', so I'd love to have another show to watch.

I'm happy for the extra episodes, and the possible early start, but part of me is prepping for this to be it's last season.
