Girls are like Gremlins

Last night was the How I Met Your Mother Season 5 premiere! There have been many well-written recaps put up all ready, so I won't do that here. I'll just talk about my favorite part from last night: Barney's explanation on how girls are like Gremlins.

His self-created rules for girls that apply for Gremlins as well:

1. Never get them wet -- in other words, don't let them take a shower at your place.
2. Keep them away from sunlight -- i.e., don't ever see them during the day

3. Never feed them after midnight -- meaning, she doesn't sleep over, and you don't have breakfast with her. Ever -- And brunch is not cool.

Of course, he realizes that he's done all these things with Robin so she IS his girlfriend. And I loved the end where they "lied" about being in a relationship. Lily has her manipulative, shrill moments (a la Monica from from Friends), but she was very intuitive with her line about how they are the ones that don't know they're NOT lying.
