SDCC: Sunday Recap, including The Cleveland Show and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Just like that, it was Sunday, the last day of Comic Con. Crazy how fast it went. Kristal and I got on the floor early to grab a few items to remember the weekend. I got a couple of shirts, one of wario riding a go kart that says "I beat your mom at Mario Kart." The other one had pictures of some of Link's favorite weapons from Ocarina of Time, with the writing "Don't Make Me Go Zelda On You." Awesomeness.
Other purchases included Kristal's Angry Birds shirt that says "Drop Birds Not Bombs" and a pillow of the Facebook "Like" button. After that, we headed on over to Hall H to catch the Always Sunny Panel.

The Cleveland Show: Before we could enjoy the Sunny madness, we had to endure The Cleveland Show panel. They showed a scene from a previous episode that took place at Comic Con, which was kinda funny I guess. After that, they showed concept art of a Die Hard themed episode, "Die Semi-Hard." While I may not be a big Cleveland Show Fan, I do love Die Hard, and this episode actually looked half way decent. I will try to make sure to check it out, but if I don't catch it, I won't be heartbroken.

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia: This was one of the panels that I was most excited for coming into Comic Con. Last year, they showed a full episode from the upcoming season, and they did the same thing this year, showing "Frank's Pretty Woman." As always, it was hilarious, and will definitely be one to watch out for. The "b plot" revolved around Mac, who in case you haven't heard, put on about 50 pounds of fat for this season, making him "fat mac." While the cast claims it was for the show, Kristal thinks that he put on baby weight, since his wife, Caitlin Olsen, or Sweet Dee on the show, was pregnant this past year. Either way, it was hilarious.

After the episode, the cast came out dressed up in their Nightman Cometh outfits, and answered a few questions. In a perfect ending, the guy who was given the last question asked for them to do a rendition of the "Dayman" song. The whole crowd and the cast sang the song, putting a perfect ending to a fantastic Comic Con!!

SDCC: Saturday Panel Recap, from SNOW WHITE to Kevin Smith

Saturday was a quiet day for me at Comic Con. The big stuff happened on Friday, and there wasn't much to be done on Saturday. Here are the panels that I saw in Hall H.

Snow White and the Huntsmen: This was an interesting panel as there really wasn't much to talk about. They hadn't shot any footage yet, so they mostly talked about what was to come rather then what had already happened. They did show some pretty cool pictures of all of the main actors in their costumes. Overall, this movie will probably be remembered for being the first major motion picture for Kristen Stewart post this twlight crap lol. And Charlize Theron looks like a pretty badass queen.

SDCC: TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL's Alan Tudyck and Tyler Labine chat with me for Gordon and the Whale

If you're reading this blog, you already know I'm a big Joss Whedon, and therefore Firefly fan. So when I got the opportunity to interview Alan Tudyck (aka Wash) for his new feature TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL, you can bet I wasn't going to miss it.

SDCC: Ryan Gosling knows how to do one thing...DRIVE

This explosive film starring Ryan Gosling as a stunt driver, alongside Carey Mulligan, Ron Perlman, and directed by Nicolas Refn was the belle of the ball at Cannes. Hopefully after their Comic-Con panel, they can reach a broader audience.

SDCC: IN TIME one of the best surprises of Comic-Con so far

I wasn't really sure what to expect of IN TIME, but their comic-con trailer really piqued my interest. Check out the trailer:

SDCC: Friday Panel Recap, including everything from THE RAVEN to THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

After I heard about the absurd lines that were developing at Ballroom 20 due to the True Blood panel, I decided to spend my day at Hall H. There were a handful of movies there, and a few that I am very excited about. Lets check it out.

The Raven:
I walked in during the middle of this panel, but from what I saw it actually looked pretty cool. The movie has John Cusack portraying Edgar Allen Poe in the last five days of Poe's life. The story revolves around a series of murders that are loosely based on some of Poe's most famous poems. The look and vibe reminded me alot of Sweeney Todd and Sleepy Hollow, and it will definitely be one to keep an eye on next year, coming out March 9, 2012.

Haywire:



Steven Soderbergh and his crew of secret agent killers were next to take the stage in Haywire, a movie that stars mixed martial arts fighter Gina Carano as essentially a female Jason Bourne. The cast is packed, including Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, and Bill Paxton, amongst others. There were some pretty awesome action scenes, and overall seems like it will be good for a few awesome fight scenes, though I don't know if it will be much else then that. I'll be happy to me proven wrong though!

Underworld 4:
This panel didn't present much interest to me, as I haven't seen any of the first three. However, it was shot in 3-d, and looked like it had some great action. I can only assume that anyone who enjoyed the first three will love this one as well.

SDCC: Who Will Win The Ultimate Battle? Vampires vs Zombies!

Ultimate Warrior is one of those shows that in theory I should love. Its got crazy tests, heated battles, famous figures, all of that, yet I've never been able to get into it. However, when I found out they were doing a panel called: Deadliest Warrior Zombies Vs Vampires, I simply couldn't pass it up. While they didn't show the whole episode like I was hoping, it was still an awesome hour of entertainment.
